from what I understand of insurance... DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. insurance won't cover something that's "cosmetic"..... but they will (at least most of the time) cover something that's "symptomatic" in other words, they won't pay for your tummy tuck or LBL because you think the floppy skin is ugly.... but if that floppy skin is becoming irritated from rubbing, or even from folding over on itself, and causing rashes and ulcerations, then they will most likely cover SOME sort of procedure. The key is to be a pain about it.... go to the doctor for EVERY rash you get.... whether the doc just gives you special instructions, or prescribes some sort of ointment.  keep a log of the dates you go to the doc... and it wouldn't hurt to take photos of each rash/ulceration you get.  All of it will help when it comes time to battle the insurance co.

Hi.  I work for Health Net of California, and I am 18 ms out of Gastric Bypass.  I would love to get the stomach skin removed.  Any suggestions of how to go about it?
