Insurance Help...any educators approved by BC/BS Traditional Plan

HI, I am interested to hear about BC/BS traditional plan members. I am an educator in New Jersey and our school district switched to CIGNA but CIGNA agreed to cover us with comparable coverage that we had before with BC/BS. The school system coverage is basically the same and I need some information that states that the Lapband is covered. I am in Piscataway. Anyone from the district that had the bypass or the lapband under Blue Cross, please let me know and let me know if you will give me permission to use your case as an example to be covered under CIGNA. I know this sounds strange but I needed a medical item (knee brace) and they would not cover me until I proved that the nurse in my school was covered under the BC plan the year before for the same item. I would appreciate any help. My surgery is set for July 17 and CIGNA denied me today but I am fighting it any way I can. I will take suggestions. Thanks.
