Experience w/ Blue Cross of California HMO??? Anyone???

Hi everyone, I want to have gastric bypass surgery and I'm wondering about the approval process. Does any one have any experience with BC HMO in Cal? I am 5'3" and 236lbs with no comorbities except depression. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Wendy
