Why can't I eat?

I am about 5 weeks Post op, and I feel like I'm not eating anything at all. I can maybe get down a few small bites twice a day. I drink water and sugar free juice all day, but that only amounts to about 30oz because anything more than a tiny sip makes me hurt so bad. When I first got home I was eating too fast and had lots of pain and vomiting. I know part of my problem is fear of getting sick, but I just can't seem to eat anything, and when I do try, which isn't very often, I get that pain and have to make myself throw up to make the pain stop. What can I do? I do try to get at least 1 protein shake a day, but that's not enugh either. I don't want to be unhealthy, but forcing myself to eat ir really hard.

Do not worry about it. Everyone goes through that, you do not need to eat, just keep up your non-calorie intake of fluids. You might be dehydrated, I was at two weeks out and could not eat. Remember your tissues shrivel up when you are not hydrated and therefore you are restricted to what you can take in I am two years out and would give anything to be in your situation again.
