I'm a college student and am 5 weeks post-op. I'm trying to find something that i can possibly eat on the go for breakfast, and kinda of granola bar or something of that sort. That's the only meal i'm really having a problem making sure I'm getting due to the fact that I like to sleep in and I am either on time or running late. Any suggestions would be great!! Thanks -

I eat the Instone pudding for breakfast - 20 grams of protein for 100 calories. I really like starting out the day with dessert, too! Some don't like it but I think its better than Jello brand definitely better for you, and after I got used to it I can eat it at room temp when I'm really in a rush or have to travel.

I would suggest something like yogurt or pudding with protein. Or maybe even a string cheese? I have never been a morning person, let alone a breakfast person, and when I was on a strick diet before my WLS i just pushed everything back. I ate 3 meals a day, but instead of the traditional breakfast, lunch, diner; I ate at about Noon, 4pm, and 8pm. It worked for me. HTH

Snickers marathon low-carb protein bar. Best tasting and healthiest protein bar I've ever had. Only 3 grams net carbs. Tons of protein and dietary fiber. http://www.letstalkobesity.com/index.php?topic=667.0 You could also try a tasty and very filling protein shake like Muscle Milk from Cytosport. Best tasting shake on the market hands down. http://www.letstalkobesity.com/index.php?topic=666.0

would kiss your feet if you where closer. I am 3months post op. I have tired over 20different protein shakes and i gag when they get to my lips and then won't drink it. I have been choking down the Unjury ones because I want to not lose my hair and want to keep the weight loss going(was told to eat/drink protein) I am going tomorrow and buy one of each of those Snickers Bars and try them. Its gotta be better than the shakes. Nikki in NY
