hi all, I am little over 2 years out had my Open Gastric Bypass August 28,2003 I need help do you measure your food? how much and all. i have never mesaured my food. i wish i had local support but i havent found any help yet. in my picture i was about 173 now i am about 199 pounds. i do have PCOS not sure if that is the reason why i have gained. any help would be so greatful.I want to start the new year with measure all my food. i guess i do have to quit the diet pepsi and drinking with meals. anita

drinking with the meals causes the food to wash down to the intestines and you will probably eat more and not get the full feeling. I find it hard to do this too, but I just take a sip now and then, not like I used to before surgery with a couple big glasses of Coke. Also, you should not be drinking any carbonated diet drinks either. Having been a Cokeaholic, I can't stand any diet drinks or many sweetened drinks now. Even my fav OJ tastes yucky, even after 5 months. Jer

hi jerry, i have quit drinking with meals. i have quit the diet pepsi and i am waiting the half hour before i drink or ear also. and i am measuring my food also. so far i am doing good this new year...

I am 4 years out and tring to losr moe weight . I found a free site www.fitday.com that is great . you can keep track of all the food you eat . It helps you see how many caloires you are intaking . ... Ive put myself on a low caloire diet and its helping Ive learned to watch what I eat now that Im keeping track of it .
