Head Hunger
I am only two weeks post-op but I can't help my head hunger. Don't get me wrong, but I know that I can't have certain foods now, but I can't help but remember how certain "bad" foods would taste. I'm far from crazy because I wouldn't risk hurting myself or my new pouch.......It's just the thoughts that drive me crazy. I'm will be through with the full liquid diet this weekend, so I will be starting the pureed diet.......will that be better???????????????? Because I can't wait to bite into something!!!!! Excuse me for being so honest----by the way I'm already down thirty-seven pounds with-in my two weeks.
Kenyatta,
It is very difficult, especially since you are still on a full liquid diet. Congrats on your 37# weight loss. I will be 3 weeks post op on Monday and I am sharing the same struggles you are. I am already on solid foods with my program and I do hope the puree diet gives you some satisfaction again. It is not easy, by any means. The easiest part for me has been having the surgery. I am currently seeking a food addictions counselor through my insurance plan to deal with the issues. Maybe you could find someone who specializes in that in your area? Good luck, and know you are not alone, be happy to chat with you at anytime.

Hi chris,
sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. i must say the head hunger has diminished alot. I am 5 weeks post op and have lost 45.5 lbs........I am now starting to eat soft/ solid foods and I seem to have more control. I also joined a gym (Bally's) my third week out.......my doctor said that it was o.k. I go at least three times a week. i hope you are feeling better as well......I do believe that it gets better day by day, especially, since we have a new way of living.......I wish you much success along with patience.......good luck
