is this all in my head???
I had wls aug,03. have lost almost 120 lbs with another 60 to go. All of a sudden(maybe the past week to 10 days) I've had cravings. I mean I neeeeeed to eat....I wonder around the house looking for something to munch on. When I'm at my office I'm finding myself looking for a quick snack several times a day. I'm not hungry..I think its bordom but I can't seem to stop myself. Please don't tell me to stay busy or excersice. I know whats best for me. I really do... but i can't seem to gain controll. Has anyone else ever experienced this post surgery???

Hi Kathie i just want to say i dont think this is in your head and that it is really happening to you. Be careful with this surgery! I had it done back in 1989 and lost 115 lbs but it only lasted 6years.Not a good out come, now i am looking into revision to rny. Its not your fault but research shows that with the vbg you tend to binge eat and you look for quick junk food. That is what happen to me and i have gained all the weight back.I am really surprised you found a surgeon who still preforms this one. Do some research it will tell you why this happens, the pouch tends to stretch back to original size unlike the rny. My advice to you would be dont give in to the binging sweets, try and eat healthy, you are only out of surgery 1 year. maybe you can beat this. good luck to you.
