Back to Basics Boot Camp
I am feeling like I need a supportive group that I can be accountable to on a regular (AKA almost daily) basis. So I started a group yesterday and am looking for additional members. It's called Back to Basics Boot Camp. I am a RNY patient who is struggling with sticking to my plan and exercising. (OK, so I don't really exercise...that is just pure struggle not just sticking with it). If you are looking for a supportive person or group that can give you a 'gentle' swift kick in the rump when you need it, maybe we can help each other out. That is surely what I need right now.
Hello Im Pam and yes I need the same had the RNY in December 2006 and lost 135 lbs .now i have gained back about 55. I feel terrible like a big failure. My godsons mother has lost 200 lbs and kept it off. ..but she is exercising and has become bulimic. I just want to get below 200 pounds and get back into those size 14 wranglers that i was in before I lost control. I have been doing the 5 day pouch test just to see if my pouch will work correctly if I work it correctly. I am not drinkiing with meals, not drinking carbonation and eating lots of protein and protein shakes with low calories/carbs. I would enjoy chatting with you more and maybe we can help each other stay on track.
thanks for responding. My husband's family is hispanic and I drwon in carbs averytime we get together.LOL I have decided thought to do like you mentioned. When they ask me to bring dessert, I use spenda and sugarfree. I am also resolved to take a nice green salad along with the desserts, to have something to eat with my protein. It is hard and the WLS is not a miracle cure, it is a tool. I was sure that I had stretched my pouch, but I have discovered that If I follow the rules, done drink 30 mins before and after meals, dont drink with meals, two bites protein to one bite vaeggies, etc, I still feel the restriction. I have been folowing the five day pouch teast (5 day pouch diet) google it ) and have lost 9.9 pounds and have not been craving the salty, cruchy junk so much. I want to continue to communicate with o you on here. Maybe we can keep each other motivated.
