Gastric Scelrothearpy for weight gain

I have gained around 30 pounds since my RNY 2007. Not sure about anyone else but I am having a hard time getting the weight back off!! About four weeks ago I had the gastric scelrotherapy and OMG what a difference that has made. It is amazing how my restriction and fullness I got back from a 15 minute procedure!! I have lost 9 pounds and counting. YEA!! I just wanted to share!

Interesting.... what did the surgery consist of?  I've never heard of it before.

Did you regular bariatric surgeon do it?

I would like more info.  I have been trying since last Dec to lose wieght.  Nothing! 

I just had this done also....twice actually.  The first time didn't do much because my body doesn't build up scar tissue.  Had the next one done about 3 months later.  I have dropped 20 lbs since Feb.  I am just scared it is going to stretch out again.  I am being VERY careful about everything I put in my mouth.  I guess you can only have the procedure done twice.  I found a gastro dr that was qualified to do this procedure.

Sclerotherapy is injecting medicine into the connection between your pouch and small intestine to make it "pucker up" and make it smaller after tesing proves the outflow is too large, but normal pouch size. It is done during an endoscopy procedure. ? were you given stats on how long this will last?
