Ulcer and hunger?

I was convinced that I had a dilated stoma because i am hungry all the time!  I never feel full. So I got an upper endoscopy and found that my pouch and stoma are perfect, but I do have a nice ulcer.  It is not bleeding but is pretty healthy.  Doc put me on Carafate.

Anyone experience constant hunger with an ulcer?

I haven't had an ulcer, but I have had irritation in my stomach that mimicked hunger.  I take Prevacid daily, and when I stopped taking it, that's when it would kick in.  I'm aware now what it is, but when I didn't - I put in about 5 lbs... before I realized what was going on.  I started taking it again, and I haven't had the problem since.  I would eat and it would feel better for a little while, then come back real strong....

So yes, the ulcer irritation will mimick hunger....

I realize this is an older post, but I want to reply. I am experiencing the same thing.... I am hungry all the time. Even as soon as 1 hour after eating my stomach starts growling. I did not know this could be a sign of an ulcer. I am going to ask my doctor about it. Did you have any other signs/symptoms of an ulcer? I am not having any pain. Just a rumbly tummy a lot and the stomach growling/hunger.
