While I admire your efforts, I just want to point out that there are several books out with recipes and suggestions.  I easily recall one by Susan Maria Leach and another by Barbara L Thompson.  If you  enter bariatri diet/recipes in the Search block on the top of the OH page, you will get referred to Susan Maria's book.  I know that there are others that used to be advertised in the Obesity Help Store but I don't even think that's available anymore.  Granted, just like there are oodles of cookbooks on the market, you may want to still write one and tell your own story.  I did see one listed that can be uploaded and is free.  Plus, there are recipes available in the Diet and Nutrtion Forum.

Even I wasn't satisfied with the answer I just gave you.  I decided to Google bariatric cookbooks and got a much bigger response.  I guess the unfortunate thing about this is that hundreds or even thousand of recipes have been posted on various OH boards over the years but they are not orgaized and are prbably difficult to access on site.  Someone could probably do a service to the people at OH by simply listing all of the Gastric Bypass cookbooks available.  Perhaps the moderators could put a yellow sticky on the top of all of the forums and have members rate the available bariatric cookbooks.

I realize that anyone can write a cookbook.  This cookbook will be unique because all the recipes will have come from folks that have had WLS surgery and are members of this website.  I suppose there are billions of those out there too, but I am still going to do this project.  Thanks for your insight and will definitely consider your words of wisdom.  Thanks!

All of the existing cookbooks are for RNYers, who don't absorb calories. We need a vertical sleeve gastectomy cookbook. I've got a few recipes on my blog, and there are a few a vertical sleevetalk.com but that's it. Blog: Gastric Sleeve Foodie
