Hi All,

I had a revision from the lap band to vsg.  I love the vsg.  With the lap band I did not lose much weight in fact I gained it back.

I'm almost a year out in May.   I have not reached goal.  I still get hungry not like before.  I have only lost 35 lbs.  I hope this is not the end.  I really did not start exercising like I should have been.  Now I am.  I do drink my water.

I do cheat sometimes and have a small amount of carbs which I know is a big no, no.....

Anyone been there and done that?

Have you tried a meal delivery plan to jump start the lossing again???  They take the guessing game out of preparing for yourself.  I started the Bandtastic Meals plan in January because my doctor said I needed to loss some weight before my surgery in March.  I have been doing great with this plan.  I know after surgery when I can start eating solid "real" food again I will continue with this meal plan.  Let me know what you think???

Hi contessnd21, no I sure have not tried a meal delivery plan.  I know that it's mostly my fault, for not leaving the carbs alone.  I'm doing much better now.   I guess I just need to get serious on this journey again, like I did in the beginning.

Thanks

It is a daily battle, I know.  Try making the planning less work and it feels easier.  My example is the meals.  I cut that stress out of my life, always wondering what am I going to cook myself tonight or take for lunch.  I hated that battle.  I have to battle other things more inportant in my life such as four kids.  The more and more I talk in my support groups I hear so many people struggling with food.  In our support group we have been on this plan since the beginning of January, we are all talking about what a difference this has made in our daily lives.  I hope this helps.  I know every little bit of information I get helps.  Let em know how you are doing with this today.

It's good that you are now exercising, drinking the water and admitting where you went wrong so now move forward.  Suggestion, continue doing that good stuff and and equally as importan****ch your caloric intake.

I find that every time my weight goes up or stays in one place it has been because my caloric intake is creeping up.  When I notice that I weigh, measure my foods and track my daily calories.  I'll bet if you start doing that that scale will move to the left, and by the way not al carbs are bad.  Eat brown rice, whole wheat bread, pastas etc.  Stay away from white potatos and eat sweet potatos instead.  Lastly watch your sodium, that stuff can sabotage any good efforts you make.

Good luck and don't give up, please!
