Still hungry

I"m in need of some advice because I had the surgery january 11th and I'm feeling just as hungry as i felt before i had the surgery. I've been able to stay within 1000 to 1300 calories a day, but it's a huge struggle for me. I'm battling my hunger all day. I feel like if I wasn't fighting it, I could easily eat as many calories as I did before the surgery. I'm wondering if this is because I have not yet had my first fill. Please advise.

I would guess you need a fill.  My band was tight from day one, but after I lost about 50 pounds all the sudden it seemed like I could eat lots more and I was (am) hungry a lot.  It's a miserable condition to be in.  I've had 2 or 3 fills, but I'm going for another in 2 days.  My husband had the surgery over 3 months ago and still doesn't have optimal fill.  A week ago he ate a 12 oz steak + a bunch of mashed potatoes.  Then again, today he ate too much and nearly threw up.  It's half working for him.  He is getting another fill this week.  I told him he'll put himself in the hospital if he doesn't slow down soon.
