Tania, I had some simular issues as well. Sometimes its just what you eat. Certain foods just don't go down well, or stay down well. I do well with certain foods and terrible with others. Small bites and chew chew chew.

write down what you are eating and keep track of what you can't eat.  You may not be able to handle diary--I never had a lactose intoerance problem until I had my first RNY.  Then I couldn't eat product with whey in them for the first 9 months post op.  Perhaps you might have to go back to a liquid or pureed diet.

Since you need protein, consider using protein shakes.  If you have a whey problem, use soy shakes even though they cost more and are gritty and don't taste as well.  Add DaVinciGourmet or Torani sugar free and fat free syrups to the shakes for better flavor and variety.  I can get a wide variety of DavinciGourmet at www.netrition.com .  Just list the manufacturer's name and you can see the 45 flavors that are currently available.  Sam's Club has a smaller selection, but they are about $3 less per 750ml bottle.  Make sure you get the sugar free and fat free.

Contact the nutritionist at your surgeon's office.  they deal with this every day and may have suggestions for you.
