OMG. I know this is bad. I had RNY 6-22 and have lost 75 lbs so far, but  today it seems like  I can't get enough food. I just ate Doritos and boy did I pay for it. My stomach was killing me. I feel horrible and hope I didn't ruin anything. I have been really good so far and haven't had any cravings for any kind of food or even really felt hungry. I have been following the diet and have stayed away from high fats and sweets. Any suggestions on how to curb the returning appetite?

I'm craving everything still and I just have to deal with it....the anger that I can't eat is the worst for me.  I just want to go out to eat and enjoy a meal.

It may be more related to stress than appetite.  I have been battling this myself.  I think, 'Why am I hungry?  I shouldn't be hungry.'  I realized that I'm not hungry, I'm stressed and I want to chew something.  Sugar free gum has helped me through this need to chew a little bit.  Your issue could also be related to a need to hydrate more or a vitamin deficiency, which can make your body react in weird ways.

Hunger will return for most of us. It sure did for me. You just have to learn to accept it and embrace it to be honest. It can be hard.

Hunger does return I am 1 year out. However I have realized it is what you eat and how much you eat. Protein first because it fills you up faster and it last longer to digest then eat veggie if you have room. Right now I am eating a 4oz Activia yogurt in the morning ( if extra hungry I put some Mu Mu Mulsi *you can google this*)  on top about two tablespoons full, lunch is usually chicken grilled with a couple bits of salad.. dinner is steak, shrimp or an egg with a veggie if i have room. I try and keep busy instead of wondering about food because I am an addict to food *I remind myself this because I didn't become over weight from NOT eating* .... instead of eating junk like doritos or chips.. keep beef jerky, or some nuts handy.. or a jello.. or sugar free pudding.. its portion control mainly and choices we make when we are hungry. Ask your Nutritionist to give you a list of things that are good to eat.. vs bad things. Good luck and stay focused this is for life change. =)
