I have been dealing with heartburn since my surgery in May. I had an Upper GI done today and I have to have an Endoscopy done Friday with a PH (BRAVO) test done. Has anyone else had to deal with this? My doc says it is very rare. I also have trouble eating solid foods. They stick in my throat, sometime water feels like it is sticking. I am losing weight but not as fast as I should. I would love any advice I can get.

I had my surgery on 12/05/02 and I didnt have trouble with heartburn until recently. My Dr prescribed 30 MG Prevacid. My niece had the surgery about 2 years ago and she has had heartburn for a long time. She finally had to have tests done and they say she has a "Nutcracker Esophagus". It is a condition where your esophagus has spasms. It didnt matter what either of us  ate. We think it has something to do with the surgery. Good Luck
