I was doing so well all year and now I'm eating the way I did before I lost all the weight.  I tell myself that I'm going to get back into healthy eating again, but I can't seem to do it.  I'm not sure what has  changed, or how to get back on track. Help..

Well the first step is admitting you have a problem.  Good job!
I found I was getting to ****y with my weight loss and didn't keep my surgery in the front of my mind and my food habits started changing for the worst, didn't get my water in, or the protein.

You have to go back to the basic's.  You didn't have this surgery just to gain it all back.  Get your books out, weigh out all of your food and log all of it.  I am brutally honest when I log all of my food and was embarrassed to look at what I had eaten.
Do you attend a support group?  I wouldn't miss mine for anything, I need those people!
If you are still struggling, make a dr's appointment.  Trust me, you're not the first one struggling.  We all struggle everyday.
You can do this!!

Amen to what Judy says!! Writing down everything you eat is the only way to be honest and figure out trigger foods and situations.

I almost got off tract too started seeing myself eating those things that put me where I was and lucky for me I stopped before I gained however it had my weight lose at a stand still. I noticed it was not your regular stand still and I said to myself UH OH!! I did just what these ladies are saying go back to the beginning.. try and google the five day pouch test .. that does work and it will give you a guide on what to eat and what to do.. that you need to get back to the basic. GOOD LUCK YOU CAN DO IT!!

I'm so glad i found this topic. I had surgery 6/07 and lost 124lbs. my doc wasn't happy but i was elated!! fast forward to 11/2008 when my job was in danger and finally losing it april 2009 and i have gained back 34lbs.

i will have to get back to the basics because i still had 75 more lbs to lose before i gained weight. so, needless to say, i need help pronto!!

i always forget to food journal on paper or online. i will give the pouch test a try. Funny thing is, i never stopped working out. i just can't stop eating lol!

Hey Sherry, I am right where you are (except I haven't gained any of my weight back, just not losing it).  I also had my surgery on 6/25/07.  I also have lost 120 lbs but have another 50 to go.  Would love to hook up with you, maybe we can work together to get back on track and lose some more pounds.  - shoot me an e-mail - [email protected].  I am also on facebook
