It's coming up on my 2 year mark since my gastric bypass. I haven't had a period in alittle over a year, just wondering if anyone else has had this happen

Rachelle, there are all kinds of things which affect a woman's cycle. Being morbidly obese is certainly one of them. Age, medication, stress, undiagnosed medical conditions and your method of birth control (if you have one) can also be factors. I am 47 and was regular as a cloc****il the weight loss sped up in the middle of this year. Now I am in full peri-menopause and had to change my IUD to deal with the horrible periods I started to have.  I expect as I get closer to my goal weight I will be in menopause b/c of the estrogen dumping.  This is just one example of how much things can change.  If you have not visited your gyno doc recently, now would be a good time to discuss this with him/her. Going in to see mine really put my mind at ease.
