DESPERATE HELP PLEASE!!
I dont know what to do anymore. Ive been gaining weight. Im not going to go into details about my life because even though i had complications after my gastric bypass there shouldnt be any excuse for my gain. My highest was 323, lowest (for like a day was) 207 and i stayed around 217 for 1 1/2 years. Now im tipping 238. I feel i never lost all the weight i couldve. Im a emotional eater. Even if im full i still eat. I dont know what to do. I dont want to go back. I cant! Any advice? Any new diets? It will be 3 years nov 3 for me.
Have you had a scope done? Go see your surgery doc and get him to recommend a good Gastro/Endo doc and get him to do a scope down there to see whats going on. If you're never full, you could have something "mechanically" wrong with your surgery. An enlarged stoma will let the food pass right thru your pouch, with no feeling of fullness. Thats a common reason why people start gaining, or never lose enough weight. This might not be your fault, so go check it out and go from there.
Also, I would get some counseling or seek out a support group. OA (Overeater's Anonymous) or FA (Food Addicts in Recovery) provides excellent help for emotional eating and it's free. Google those two and you should come up with a group in your area.

I know what you mean about eating when you are full. So choose foods that will help not hurt you. Eat six small meals instead of three So you eat every two hours. Just something small. A yogurt, then a hand full of nuts and berries, then as snickers protien bar, ( makes me think I am having real candy) then some cottage cheese......
You see how it works. One thing at a time and then even if you are "hungry" wait for an hour to eat again. keep it small and high protien. Other then that work on finding some relaxation methods you can do. If you want to eat be cause your anxious try working in the garden or sewing something that keeps your hands busy and distracts your mind. For me it is folding clothes or dusting. I hate doing this stuff and if I am worried they keep me out of the frig.
