everytime I get the RIGHT amount of protein

I guess it depends on the kind of protein you are eating. Protein with certain types of fat can cause something called "steatorrhea," which is just medical talk for "fatty stool." If your BMs are oily, or float in the bowl, your protein source may contain too much fat. In which case, I would recommend choosing low-fat protein foods.

I've discovered I am now lactose intolerant.  Never was a big milk drinker before the surgery, but now that I am (was) making shakes, soups, puddings with it, and eating yogurt etc...  Gak!
I suffered from insistent diarrhea.  It wasn't just irritable, it was demanding and impatient!

I changed over to soy, and have been tolerating that highly.  My next purchase will be Lactaid just to try it out, but the "light" soy milk is pretty good, same amt of protein, and less carbs than regular milk anyway.
