A drink that doesn't taste like kool-aid??

OK, so I am testing out the various sugar-free drink mixes to see which ones are my favorite. So far...NONE.

I have been a fierce Diet Pepsi drinker for years; but these mixes all taste SO sweet they put my teeth on edge. I will be drinking a lot of plain water, sure, but I was hoping I could find something that didn't taste like melted Jello. I've been trying Crystal Light, Lipton and Target house brand mix-ins, those little staws you can use in a bottle of water.

Even the iced-tea mixes are too sweet, and they don't taste like tea at all.

Is there any sugar-free drink mix, for water, that actually tastes like something a grown-up would drink? I will make my own iced tea at home, but I was hoping for something I could take with me.

I looked for reviews of the drink mixes, but mostly they are from people who seem to enjoy that sort of kool-aid flavor.

Pre-op, while weaning myself off of diet cokes I started drinking Propel waters.  They do have calories and a little bit of sugar, but for me the trade off was good.  They don't taste too overwhelming fruity either.  Now that I'm post-op, I don't like them as well anymore.  Don't know why, but I don't.

i too am a fierce diet coke drinker. I do not like kool-aid or most of those mixes either. I have managed to now drink my own brewed ice tea and sweeten to my likes with equal or splenda.

The water drinks i found i liked were the smar****er of fi****er. I like the strawberry or melon flavors. they are not sweet and have just enough taste to sense the flavor not the sweetness

I found the Great Value Wal-mart brand fruit punch, grape,  Cherry, or lemon aide easy to use on the go is good and not too sweet. I also drink from time to time Lipton green tea the new one " Diet sparkling green tea".

I recently started drinking SF drinks too.  Weaning off Diet Pepsi too.  Love it.  I agree with you about the sweetness of these SF drinks.  I have found that if i use a little more than half the packet it is plenty for me.  When I make the pitchers at home, I mix it normally but before I pour my cup I put ice and fill it 1/2 way with water.  This makes it much more tolerable.  I love the Crystal Light Peach Ice tea.

I also hated  crystal light and all that stuff. I recently discovered Diet V8 "SPLASH. 10 calories in 8 ounces and it has nurtritional value. You can't ask for more and it does not have that sweet, sour taste.
Good Luck

You can just add more water to them if you want a less sweet taste. I like the White Grape Crystal light.
