For breakfast I ate a hard boiled egg and two pieces of soy "sausage" patties. I waited a bit, didn't feel satisfied and ate a piece of whole grain toast w/ cream cheese on it. I am 8 months RNY post op. I NEVER feel full now. EEK!!! So, do you think I can eat too much or is this a normal amount of food for this point in my journey?

I am 10 mos post up and I  eat a total of a cup of food at one sitting and no more than 1200 cals a day.  I just recently increased to 1200 from  800 per my doc and nut.  I have noticed a Big slow down on the scale since the change in cals though. _Char

My NUT told me when ever I got hungry to eat protein,it is good for you.
I do not think you will eat to much.you just gotta get used to the new sensations. I promise you that you will to the point that feeling full feels gross, are you doing all your drinking?

When, at 10 months post op I noticed that I needed to eat ore to get the same "full" sensation - I did the %DPT test  (google that). I was hungry during the test, but managed.
The sensation returned. I still have days that i want to eat, eat - but most days I am fine after 1 cup of food, and feel full for a while after that.
now - if I notice that I need to eat more- i stop and chose one day that I just do mostly liquids - and my pouch "bounces back". most people do not recommend that - but it works  for me.
