What is the difference between denser protein and regular protein foods?  I'm post op since 06' and gaining back and was told to eat the denser protein by another board member.  any suggestions?

Hi,
Denserr proteins are proteins that stay in your pouch longer like chicken breast, salmon, etc.  Alot of people use supplements like protein shakes, they are still a liquid and will go out of your system quicker then denser proteins.

I  hope this helps-Char

I don't know the answer to your question, but I still feel that anyone having a problem with their diet should work with the Beck's Diet Solution.  I suggest the workbook for post-ops and the hardcover for pre-ops.  Just use the diet your doctor or surgeon's office has given you.

Since you are post-op since '06, I don't think the density of your protein is your real problem.  rather, I suspect that you are simply eating too much.  Take a good look at what you are eating and be honest with yourself.

I weigh and measure my meals at home.  I don't eyeball meals at home.  That's the only way I can eat honestly and not try to deceive myself.
