What type of procedure did you have? Sounds like you need to have a talk with your surgeon and/or nutritionist to see if dietary modifications or surgical revision are needed. Meanwhile, even though you CAN eat a sub or burger and fries doesn't mean you should. Try to stick to the healthier lower fat choices.
Hi,
I'm about 4 1/2 years out.
Over the last year, I gained back about 18 pounds above goal weight, and was starting to get worried.
So I started coming to this site again.
I read a lot about the 5 day pouch test.
So decided to do the first two days of it and repeat it. Mostly eating sugar free pudding with protein powder and sugar free liquids.
It's been great. I've taken 5 pounds back off so far.
It's not easy. But it feels a lot better to feel like I'm in control again.
It sounds like the carbs you are eating are making you feel like you're starving.
Maybe try the 5 day pouch test and see if it works for you?

the carb monster destroys most of us. I'm struggling also. I've decided today to get back to the forum and take control now before it gets anymore out of hand I'm 3 yrs post op and gaining. So, I'm boiling hard boiled eggs this am and counting calories and watching carbs again. Has anyone tried jerky for protein or does it have too much salt? - Kat
