Had my gastric bypass 2da ago

I had my gastric bypass Monday morning.  I mainly have fat in my trunk. so they had to burrow thru about 6 inches of fat.  My stomach is so swollen, w a large bruise running right down the middle.  I s this normal. I am drinking my fluids, but almost afraid to. because of the pressure it is hard to lie down. Any suggestions or info.....I would appreciate it so much. Kat

Kat also give yourself a wk or so for the swelling to go down.

HOW LONG TIL YOU ARE MORE COMFORTABLE

Hi Kat,
It took me about a week for all the swelling to go down. I had tons of gas and just felt pretty beat up. Give a few more days and you will begin to feel much better.

Hi...I am 4wk out now, and it took 5 days for the edema in my stomach tissues to start going down... Thanks  kat
