I do get hungry and I am trying to learn how to deal with it. I find keeping busy works best..and lots of liquid to hold off till time for the next meal.
Good luck!

Hello,
I just recently had the VSG procedure on December 15, 2008. So far so good I guess....had a weight loss of 25.5 lbs. at 2 week checkup. There are days when I think I am doing things all wrong, but I just stay focused and stick with it. When did you have your surgery? How is it going for you? Let's keep in touch! Take care ~Jodie~

VSG on 09/01/08 with
I had a VSG in September.  I could make it on 3 small meals a day (600 cals maybe).  Begining in December, I have to say that I am hungry and have to really watch myself.  I have changed up my routine and added in some planned snacks to help with it.  I am up to 800/900 cals a day now and it seems to help.  This entire journey is going to be a check and adjust process to see what works best for you.

I am now getting hungry and am eating btwn 700-1000 calories a day.  It seems when i eat the higher range of calories I lose more.  I think the lower range makes my body think it is starving.  My protein intake is around 75-90grams daily which I am happy about. I am about to start hitting the gym hard again and wonder what that will do to my hunger.

I am a vsger.  I had my surgery Aug. 19, 2008.  I am hungry.  I have lost 70 lbs.  I deal with the hungry differently each time it roars it's head.  LOL  I think that it is the winter time, where I want to eat more .  I do better in the spring and summer months.

Hey everyone,

I do get hungry sometimes, but not anything like before...only a little hungry but more times a day...So I usually decide what my lunch is going to be and break it up into three little meals (like 3/4 bites each) over the span of the day (say between 10am and 5 pm)..then whenever I get that hungry feeling I have something handy to eat that isn't junky...I have found that just those few bites makes me full...as for after dinner, that is when I catch up on fluids and my "snack" is always hot tea with skim milk and sweetner..satisfies my sweet tooth and my water needs at the same time.
