Just wanted to let all of you know who have tried every kind of diet out there! High protein does work! I have been doing since i found out that my i didn't have the rider on my insurance and i have lost 16 pounds in 2 months. How did i do it? I just cut out all the bad carbs. Like all the processed ones-potatoes, pasta, white bread, and replaced them with lots of veggies, meats, cheeses, nuts, fiber one bars, low-carb yogurts, sugar free pudding, jello, lots of water. Stay away from caffefine! Good Luck to everyone that tries it. Just stay low-carb you don't have to go extreme as atkins. Just look at your carbs and subtract your dietary fiber from your carbs and that's how much carbs you have digest. Also, pay attention to your sugars!

Hi ilovemyboys2

We concur 110%. We even believe that your weight loss (8 lbs a month) is exactly what we predict...and that is a healthy rate, and adds up to 100 lbs in year!

The research says that with 25% to 30% of your calories from protein (that is about 125 to 150 grams protein per day if you consume 2000 calories per day), you both:

-- lose weight
-- do NOT feel hungry

The key is to use protein to crowd out the "bad stuff".
Have the protein the moment you start to feel hungry or feel tempted by a snack food.

Protein is the way to beat feeling hungry,
and
Whey is the best protein for doing that.

Good continued luck !!

Kind regards
Jerome

That's exactly what the South Beach diet is all about.  I did it several years back, lost 32 lb in 3 months and was NEVER hungry.  I was hoping the high protein-low carb post-op eating schedule would give me the same hungerless feeling, but unfortunately it does not
