Okay I have been reading about the 5 day pouch test. I am going to try pretty soon ....I have to get the will power up to do it. I just can't imagine not eating and doing only liquids again.
I had a baby in Dec 2006 and I only gained about 23lbs with him but I have been struggling to get the last 11 lbs off. I have gained a few back now. I don't like it b/c my clothes are tight again..ughhh
What good protein shakes have you found??
I feel like my pouch is really stretched ....I feel like I can eat a lot ...
I don't want to be fat again...I want to be skinny and thinner than I am ...not at my goal...I want to be I had surgery in 2004....thanks!
Wendy
I really like UNJURY. It mixes well and tastes good. They also have a soup mix and give you recipes too. You can get it on line and it comes fairly quickly too. Just type UNJURY into you search and it will come up.
I haven't tried the pouch test but from what I've heard the first two days are the worst to get through and then it gets better as you really get in touch with your pouch again. Good luck!

The only protien mix I even like is the Elite. So far only flavor I've tried is mint chocolate. Vaguely thin mint-i**** mixes wonderfully with iced cappichino (or instant sugar free cappichino) for my perfect morning drink. 24g protien a scoop, very little sugar or calories. This stuff is hands down my favorite. I've tried a bunch of diffrent ones by diffrent carriers. And thus far ELite is my buddy, I've got more mint chocolate in the mail plus I'm trying their coffee (don't remember now what kind) type flavor.
I did the pouch test once a few months ago, and it works! Im gonna do it again as soon as my life settles down a bit and Ill be home more.
I use Ultra Slim Fast,,it only has two carbs, and 19 grams of protein. I like the chocolate royale, the ones in the can.
I also use Body Fortress 100% Premium Whey Protein from walmart,,its 12.97 a 2 lb can, and there are 53 grams of protein in a 2 scoop serving. I mix it in the blender with skim mil**** cubes, and sometimes a banana, its great!
My very favorite is Unjury unflavored, cause you can even put it in your crystal lite or coffee, and ya cent aste it. Its kinda pricey though,,14.00 for a 15 scoop can, plus shipping which makes is 22.. a can, (I just looked cause I was gonna get some, but went to Walmart instead and got another can of Fortress)
Hope this helps!

Hi WendyLouu,
I did the 5DPT a few months ago and was really surprised at my lack of hunger during the first two days of liquids...I did it because I had become what I thought was overly hungry and quite the snacker, just grazing like crazy. I am planning to do it again next week. The one thing I found that really helped was the Ham & Split Pea Soup recipe that I found on the web. They have several recipes for soup that you can use while doing the 5DPT, but since I like Split Pea soup anyway that was right up my alley.
As far as protein goes...I use EAS AdvantEdge Carb Control (liquid Form) Chocolate Fudge. It has 110 calories -17gr of protein a 2g net carbs. It comes it Vanilla, Chocolate Fudge and Strawberry, but I like the Chocolate better. I usually purchase it 2 cases at a time from Sam's Club or BJ's, but when I low on funds I purchase the 4-pk from Walmart it usually runs about $4.97. I also buy the large container of Body Fortress Vanilla Whey Protein, and I also have Chocolate. Even at almost 2 yrs out I still use quite a bit of protein mainly I think because I like the taste and find it convenient to use.
Hope this information helps, and good luck with the 5DPT...if I can do it (ole greedy gut) anybody can do it.

In answering your shake question I was previously on Spiru-Tein which can be mixed with milk but have been on that for awhile and need some change. There is another line at the Vitamin Shoppe called Nectar. I'm drinking the Roadside Lemonade which I mix with water. About 23g protein per serving, no sugar, no carbs. I believe they have many other flavors.
