I do not typicallly feel like I am starving. I am usually not hungry actually. Have you felt this way since surgery? I noticed that it has been a while since surgery so I was curious how long you have felt like this. What do you do to help take away the hunger? Would you mind posting a typical day of eating? It may be something as simply as what you are eating. Food does funny things like that. Take care Terisa

Hi, Leawanda! I was hoping that this board would become active again. I noticed that you contacted Stephie...that's great! I am not certain why is got so quiet here. I did want to mention that I only get that starving feeling when I need more water. I might wake-up in the middle of the night and head to the kitchen; not for food anymore, but to drink because I am "thirst hungry" and have a headache or dry tongue. No one else has mentioned this on any of the boards. Once I learned a little more about dehydration, I realized that I wasn't consuming enough liquids. Could your feeling be from thirst too? You know it's weird that I used to crave big amount of nutritious food pre-op. Now my tastes have changed, such as having no desire for Chinese food, which was a big vice. My "relationship" with food has changed. I do get a hunger response, but can usually fill it with a few soy chips, veggies, or a Fudgsicle. It must be really scary to feel like you are starving. I worry that I may become ill in the future, if I don'****ch what kinds of food I'm eating each day. BTW, I use a small 7" plate for my meals at home and small glass bowls. They give me the sense that I am eating a good size portion...the glass bowls make the food so pretty too. Hope that your doing well and will stay in contact. Thanks again. Ro

So you just started to drop weight again? Do you have an idea of why this happened? 6 lb loss is a lot of weight for 2 weeks, especially since your 2 years post-op! "NOT NATURAL" is a good way to describe WLS. I love my RNY, but I am scared that someday it may not love ME. Ro
