Greetings, I had open RNY August 30 a year ago this week. Went from 335 to 215 in 3 1/2 months. Stay the same weight for four months then started gaining and now at 240. I had stricture and ulcer in March and bleeding ulcer last month (in hospital four days). I have trouble keeping down well chewed meet and now eat mached potatoes, baked potatoes, soups, cheeze, low fat vogurt, trail mix, and starbucks decafe sugarfree vanilla latte. I have been having a hard time getting to the gym for about the time I started gaining weight. Starting tomorrow I am goiing back to the gym daily. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I want to get back on the right path. Thanks, Jim

Hi Jim, Would it be possible for you to cut down on the carbs? Mainly the potatoes. Can you handle protein drinks? You should be able to keep that down ok. Sounds like your body has been through some rough times lately. I hope you are over the worst and will just get better. Thrilled you are going back to the gym tomorrow. ~ Terisa

u gotta get away from the soft foods. i too had ulcers early out and ate a lot of soft food, but it just doesnt stick with u. try dipping ur meat in fage yogurt (tastes like sour cream) and it will slide down easier. i'm a big believer in eating a balanced diet including good carbs. how about beans, they are a great source of protein and fiber. i mix beans with low carb pasta (i use dreamfields, it also has protein) and veggies grated parmesan cheese. i know u can do this, u worked too hard to gain it back now!! Hi, Jim! Great Weight Loss! Sorry about the complications... what a pain! I've had luck with Wendy's chili, when eating has been a problem. Meats with low fat gravies also stayed with me. I still have problems with cod, but not other fish. If you try chicken sausage, remove the casing! I found out the hard way! You had a set back early on, but you new stomach is still a working tool. Perfect reason to start over again, using your Doc's guidelines. The gym is a great idea. I walk in a local park and around the hilly streets around my home. How are things going now? Ro
