I ate today but still not enough
This is everything I've ate today in a nutshell. I know I have a long way to go in getting the calories up and adding more protein to my diet as I seriously need.
Breakfast ;
2 cups of coffee light/w splenda
1 slice whole wheat toast w/sf blackberry jam
Lunch ;
1/2 cup tuna cassarole
2 small chocolate chip cookies also sugar free
Dinner ;
1 3inch slab of lassagna with meat and cheese
1/2 slice of texas toast w/garlic and cheese
Snack
Protein smoothie fresh peach added made with powdered milk
Total calories for the day 831 this is really good for me
protein totals not so good of only 44
Ok so I'm a work in progress but for me this was a very good day.

i think it's a great idea to post what we eat! i have u beat by a few calories today:
lunch
1/2 cup grilled veggies
1/2 cup shrimp
snack
1/2 cup kefir milk - have u tried kefir milk? its really good!!!!
with 1/2 cup frozen blueberries and 1/2 small frozen banana and a sprinkle of granola
dinner
whole wheat pita with 1/3 cup mushrooms, 1/2 oz pepperoni, 1.5 oz mozz and onion
snack
1 cup snack mix (i mix kashi, oatmeal sqs, cheerios and quaker sweet snack mix)
for a total of 916 calories, 34 fats, 106 carbs (18 grams of fiber), 56 proteins
lets do this everyday!
I think its an excellent idea to chart each day what we eat. It can show us where we're going wrong and where we can improve.
Have a great day I'm about to head off for my iron IV's this morning. That will put a damper on my eating pattern for a bit today and tomorrow. They make me sick sometimes.

I am a little affraid to post what I eat on this board as I do that on the wls grad board. I know I would try not to even eat more if i saw my calories higher than others. I do that board because it gives me a concept of what I should be eating if that makes any sense. if it were up to me I would still be at 600 cals and day. I see the amount you ate and I have intentionally not eating my snacks today just cause I thought maybe i was eating to much again.
I usually chart my food in the rear so I will tell you I ate almost 1100 calories..
mostly from protein shake, protein bar, protein balls. I had a small piece chicken in some salad last night and left over steak from the night before.
Today has not been that good. I have had one protein shake, plum, 2 oz of chicken and I will have some fish for dinner.. i will eat some ice cream as I do everynight.. but I dont eat a lot of it. I do that just to get my calories up above 1000. Does all that make sense, but than I drink with it to try and get it to flush out faster.. its pretty sad I know.. but my SO checks my intake and makes me eat something at night to get the calories in.

You actually did great right where you should be with the 1100 cals.
Today for me has not been good. I had treatments today and they always make me sick for some reason.
this is my menu today and i just cant get no more in i've been sick all night it wont sit.
Breakfast;
1 small egg
1 sausage link
Dinner:
2 oz's center cut pork chop
1/2 baked red potato w/sourcream
all totaling 470 calories and only 28 protein for the day
I'm so nauseas I cant stand water at this point. I will do better tomorrow I hope.

Hello there...
today was NOT a good day and YESTERDAY was terrible.
Breakfast and Lunch were on target, protein bar and chicken tenders but dinner was a grand departure from normal, dinner was our 10 anniversary dinner
a slice of French bread, a ginormous onion ring, a bowl of crawfish etoufee, and then four bites of creme brulee, THAT made me burpy sick and I really wanted to puke, but I kept it down, burped all the gases out and made it through. I think it ws the fried onion ring that was my downfall.
today was less of the same.
breakfast was a protein bar and lunch was a small portion of pasta and a really small portion of eggplant parmesan. dinner is looming on my horizon, I doubt that I will make anything wild. I really do not think that there is anything even in the fridge. ;)

First off happy annv. I have to tell you onion rings are my weakness *drools* Love em to death but omg do they not love me back. But I still try I know bad me but there is just something about them I just can not help myself.
I didnt do real good today either. My day was so out of control busy I did what I always do and skipped way to much and i have to stop that but I dont know how I'm going to do it.
I skipped breakfast so that was a bust
no snack
Lunch I did manage
3oz hamburger patty
3 slices of fresh tomato
2 tbs of mayo
Dinner well midnight snack more like it
3 oz's of chicken salad on a corsont (sp)
had probably 1/2 of that
hand full of potato chips plain
snack
1/2 a beef stick on the way home from work
I really need to do better I try but the more I try it seems I back slide.
however i did much better on the protien today then I have in a very long time so that was a plus.

what I found that helps me is to have something already prepared, why so many of those other diets work initially. Breakfast is the hardest meal of the day for me!
so what do I have on hand for breakfast:
-->protein bars
-->cottage cheese & individual servings of mandarin oranges already portioned and ready for use.
as for lunch, I usually do not get hungry until 2 - 3 pm.. course by that time, I figure, if I hold off and just tackled dinner.
