lately I have found myself eating alot of SF jello throughout the day, just kinda enjoying the taste and kinda using it to assist me in getting in some extra fluids. sometimes I use a dallup of light whip cream which is 15 cal, 1 carb and 1 gram of sugar. But it is the Jello for the most part that I am having. Anyone think there is anything wrong with this? I still drink my reg. water as well. Does this just travel through my pouch the same as liquids ( I know it's considered a liquid) I think I am also kinda using it to avoid snacking as well. Let me know what you guys think, I am over two years ot and this is a new thing for me. Thanx

Hi Meka...I am only 2 weeks out but I ate alot of SF jello on my pre-op liquid diet and have eaten a bit since. It is SF so I can't imagine it can hurt you. Like you said it is a liquid and it is about the fluids too. And hey...it is surely better than snacking and picking up the grazing habit. I could see myself doing the same. Antonette

Meka: I see nothing wrong with the sf jello. it is very low cal, even with a little whip cream. If it satisfies and keeps you away from high calorie snacks, go for it!! I also eat alot of sf popsicles when I'm fighting the munchies!! Good luck!! DeeAnn R

Hi, Meka! Thanks for the !!! I am 10 months out and think it is so great the you have such a good commitment level at 2+ years. The SF Jello is a good way to fill the void of snacking. I use 4 oz ball jars with reuseable lids to preportion SF pudding. I try to limit my portions of most foods to 1/4 - 1/2 of the standard label serving size. I was originally concerned that I was going overboard with the food weighing and SparkPeople food journalling, but now feel OK with how I am monitoring my foods. I include mixed nuts as part of my good foods, as one of my Drs. updated me that RNY patients may become low in copper. Nuts have a terrible labelling system...it should point out all the minerals that are present. I usually eat 1/4 oz per day; my copper level is in the mid-range on Labs. I've had just one snack binge this far, when I ate until the caramel rice crisp bag (1.5 c) was finished. I usually eat 1 Fudgsicle to stop a craving, especially if my guys are eating a dessert. Thanks Again!!! Ro
