I had the SRVG (Silastic Ring Vertical Gastroplasty) 3 years ago.. Dr. Hamn of Plano was my surgeon. I have lost approx 100 lbs, have maintained about 70lbs of it. The problem is I cannot eat... just about anything i eat, I throw up, which isnt letting me lose weight. I went to Dr Hamn about 6 months ago and he sent me to a gastro specialist and he done a procedure to widen my band so that food would go through and I could keep things down. Well that worked for about a month... now I am back to square one, cant eat! Dr. Hamn didnt seem to interested in doing a revision on me.... If anyone has had this problem or have any advice for me.. please help!

Hi Jennifer! I don't have any experience or advice regarding the SRVG; however, I would advise to be persistent with your doctor, whether it's your surgeon or your PCP, requesting they continue with testing to find the cause of your inability to eat. Three years out, you shouldn't (necessarily) be experiencing these problems without a root cause, so be viligant in your quest to find out what is happening with your body! Good luck to you and keep us posted of what you find out! Hugs! Kristi
