I WON THE LOTTERY!
Okay - so I really didn't win the lottery (), but I got your attention, didn't I???
So, now that you are here, why not join me in the 25 Mile Challenge for the month of November?
What's the 25 Mile Challenge you ask? Well, it's simply that - challenge yourself to accumulate 25 miles worth of exercise during the month of November. It can be whatever kind of exercise you choose - walking, running, cycling, elliptical machine, etc. Whatever activity you choose, you only have to log your mileage to challenge yourself to reach that 25 Mile goal by the end of November! It's that easy!!!
If you are new to weight loss surgery or you aren't quite up to the 25 mile mark yet, fear not - you can still participate!! You only need enthusiasm to get started and the rest will fall in to place! Log what you CAN do this month and then set a personal goal to increase it a little each month following. Remember - the dreaded holiday weight gain season is HERE! If you survived Halloween, then start fresh with me in this challenge so that we will sail through the remainder of the holidays without the worry of added pounds. Exercise will also alleviate the stress of holiday shopping, and we ALL know what that can be like!
We can update our progress with one another on a weekly basis. Being accountable to others in an exercise program is a good way to keep with it, so please join me! Each week, I will ask you to share your mileage totals, so be sure to keep track of your exercise routine and LOG THOSE MILES!
A special thanks to Cards Fan of Missouri for the inspiration for this challenge! He has quite a successful group following his 50 Mile Challenge, so trust me when I tell you that it CAN be done! They are proving it month to month!!
So, what do you say?? It's Novemer 2nd - let's chart our progress and meet back here November 9th, 16th, 23rd and the 30th.
Good luck!!!
Hugs!
Kristi
Hi Kristi, I'm game!! I came here to the hunger and food board today because I've been struggling with snacking lately and can't seem to just stop it. Maybe I don't need to stop, but just do less. I'm not sure. I don't snack on "junk" food, meaning sugars, sweets, etc. I still live in fear of dumping and don't go there. My snacking is on nuts and cheese. I guess not all that bad. I just feel that I shouldn't do it. I'm still losing weight, just a lot slower in these 6, 7 months. Which Im sure is normal too.
I do exercise daily, go to the gym, but think this challenge is a great idea and maybe if I have some type of goal like this I will concentrate on that more to get it accomplished. It will help up my exercise a bit and Im sure do me some good.
I usually do anywhere from 1 mile to 2.5 a day. Just depends on how I feel in addition to some weight training, rowing, once in awhile some elliptical. But I'd like to join the challenge and work for that 25 miles minimum. I like the idea of having a number in mind to keep track of and reaching.
So to start:
11/6/06 = 1 mile
Thanks for the posting!
