I am now 5 weeks out from surgery and I have no hunger at all. I eat because I know I have to but I have no desire for eating. Any suggestions or has anyone been through this? Thanks

I'm 8 weeks out and I haven't had an appetite yet. In fact the thought of eating totally nauseates me. I try to force myself because I know I should but I'm really not into it at all. I've heard that at about 3 months out eating becomes more normal. I'm counting the days!!

Hi, I am now 4 months out and I have hunger. It isn't as strong as before surgery, but I do get that "empty" feeling now and then. Definately do not get the ravenous feeling like before.. Enjoy it while it lasts.. just make sure you get your protein in...

You are in your "window of opportunity" - take advantage of it and get your protein in. Your hunger will return around 6 months out. Sue McD

Enjoy it while you can! I am 10 months out and hunger has returned with a vengence! The real hard part is feeling full and hungry at the same time. My pouch tells me I am full and can't eat annother bite but my old stomach screams constanly that its hungry. This is real hard to get used to so enjoy what you have for now. Learn those healthy eating habits and stick to them when hunger returns. Train your self to listen to the pouch not your old stomach. Good luck!
