Looks like I am going to have a love/hate relationship with FitDay.com!! Decided to bite the bullet and start tracking........ LOVE all the features of the program and the ability to keep track of everything from journaling to exercise. HATE the honesty of it all!!! Holy Cow!!! Never really saw myself as "unbalanced" in the food department as that annoying little pie chart indicates!!!! Well, at least it gives me a clear (and HONEST) understanding of where and how I am spending my calories! The good news is that my target goals are realistic !! For the first time in a long time, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel again!!!! Whew hew!! Hope everyone is having a great day! Hugs! Congrats, Kristi!!! I also just started to use fitday and it is very helpful but also a SHOCK!! I went to the doctor today - my due date is May 4th 2007!! YAY!! I think that scales lies.. but it will be my measure of traking how I am doing. I told her that I am going to go on a diet... she looked at me like I have lost my mind... I told her I am not going to cut my calories but I am going to eat better calories! So, starting today - I will have a protien shake for my lunch instead of the cooking downstairs.. which will also save me some money in the long run!! To snack, I am having sunflower seeds which aren't the best but much better than chocolate and chips. And I vow during my pregnancy that I will NOT drink any coffee or sodas. Talk about withdrawl!!! OI!! In addition, I made my husband promise tp push and push me to walk my 4 miles a day and more as I get up to speed. Good luck with everything and know that we are here for one another even when the skies seem grey. Love yas, Emily

Thanks, Emily! I certainly appreciate the vote of confidence! Congratulations on your doctor visit.... and "whew hew" to another May baby in the world!!! ~~ I'm the 17th!! Congrats on using Fit-day ...I love it ...actually started using it along time ago and forgot about it. I just got renewed to it a few weeks ago. and I got the download version and i love it ..I can take my laptop with me and keep track while i am gone. Oh I even showed my doctor the website and program and now he is recommending it to his other patients and is using it himself..... goodluck with everything Cheryl

Kristi - Wow!!! What a change from what I eat a couple of days ago and what I am eating today. Before it was carbs carbs carbs on that pie chat. Today, my protien out does my carbs!! I hope this tool keeps me honest!! BTW- I didn't walk yesterday... BUT I did ride the exercise bike and did the weight loss track - up and down hills - and was able to ride it for 4 miles in 18 minutes. I am going to try and do it every day and go further and faster on the same weight loss option. How are you doing with it? Been getting in the protien and water? I hope so - let's fight this thing together!! Hugs, Emily

Whew hew!!! So far, the pie chart is balanced in my favor - lots more protein and much fewer carbs!!!! The real test will be when I get home and face all the crap (food) in the house. That is where my pitfalls lie! My gym is F-I-N-A-L-L-Y opening tomorrow morning! It's brand new and I cannot wait to get started again. I've been "away" from a gym environment for about a couple of months now, so I'm anxious! A little sad that my work-out buddy will not be able to go with me, though... she is going out of town and won't be bac****il Sunday. Told her that although the adventure was for both of us, I think I will still be there when the doors open in the morning.... I need it, and if I'm in the right frame of mind to do it, I should go!!!!! I'm so proud of your exercise accomplishments yesterday! Keep up the good work and continue to keep me (us) posted of your progress.... you are an inspiration!!! Big hugs!! Kristi
