Hi all, I started my protein liquid diet today. I have consumed 6 oz of nonfat yogurt at one sitting. Is that too much?!?!?!?! And I don't feel like I am very full. My stomach is suppose to hold 1 ounce ... so what in the world is going on? Is my stomach larger? Is this a bad sign ... I'm praying this is not the begging of a failed WLS. I am feeling pretty down at the moment because I don't understand why I'm not getting that full feeling upon consuming so many ounces of yogurt. So very confused.

Living: You are fine! The reason you do not get full on the six oz of yougurt, is because it's not a solid protein. It is a semi liquid type of food. It passes very quickly out of the pouch. That is why they say not to eat soups very often. They too pass through the pouch quickly, not giving you that full feeling. I bet you couldn't eat six ounces of meat!! I'm sure your pouch is just fine, it's just that the yougurt goes right through! as you get further out, your pouch will normally hold more. I have read that a normal mature pouch can hold up to 1 1/2 cups at a meal. Of course this depends on what the meal consists of, it may be less or more! hang in there and follow your dr's guidelines!! DeeAnn R
