Congratulations on the weight loss! Make sure that you are not drinking when you eat - if you are STOP! The liquids will push the food right through you and will leave your new pouch empty.
You may want to check with your doctor since you are only 7 weeks out and can eat more than a cup at a time. Perhaps, they need to make sure that you don't need a revision.
Keep in mind that your intestines are being bypassed so you aren't absorbing all of the fat and calories like you were before the surgery - so not, it isn't the same as the preop diet.
I wish you the best of luck and keep your head up!! Just try to stay away from bad habits so when the level off happens - which shouldn't be for atleast 12 months that you don't gain the weight back.

Hi Sara!
Seven weeks out and down 40 pounds? I'd say that's pretty great! Know that your body is going to "rest" periodically, to allow your metabolism to catch up. In the meantime, WHAT are you eating? If you are consuming empty calories, the weight loss is defintely going to slow or stop altogether. If you are watching your protein intake and staying away from the empty calories, you should be fine.
The best advice is to talk to your surgeon... especially at seven weeks out.
Good luck to you!!!!
