Hey shipmates, weekend check-in

Hey everyone, Just wanted to see how the week went for everyone. I have been doing so much better getting my water in AND I have survived two challenges. First, my daughter's talked me into going out for dinner last night. For the first time EVER, I didn't have anything to drink with my meal at a restaurant. Then, today my girls wanted pizza and again, I had no soda. Only a slice of pizza which was really not that good anyway. I was happy with myself. Small achievements is all I have now, so I am celebrating each one. I weighed this morning even though my official weigh-ins are Sundays. I am down to 224 from 232. Not bad. It is SO SLOW, but at least there is hope. How is everyone else doing with their water intake? Drinking enough between meals and not with them I hope. Also, how are the cravings and snacking? I know it's been so difficult to not snack. I write it in my journal when it happens so I at least keep up with the calories. It's so hard to avoid carbs. I am really struggling with that. I just don't enjoy the taste of the low fat protein choices. I would rather have high fat, high carb junk. I just hope I can stay motivated and really make it to goal again. It seems so far away. I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend and stays focused. Drop a quick note telling us about your week. Ahoy! Great weekend for celebrating the end of summer....not so great results from the celebration! Too much junk food and not enough protein r-e-a-l-l-y showed up on the scale this morning! As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure I heard the damn thing moan when I stepped on it! Going to work on a liquid diet for today - protein shakes and lots of water to get the nasty junk out of the body. Then I'm going to shoot for nothing but good choices for the rest of the week. My gym failed to open last Saturday as scheduled (equipment shipment problems), so they are hoping for this weekend. Can't be happening fast enough for me!!! In the meantime, I'm going to be logging a LOT of extra laps at the track between now and then!!!! Hope everyone's week is off to a good start..... hey, it's Tuesday already, so that's a good thing, yes?!?!?! Hugs! Kristi
