How many calories
I am four months out, and have been the same weight for almost two weeks. I am taking in anywhere from 900-1200 cal a day. I have started using fitday.com for over a week now, staying away from bread. I have started to excersice more.. but when i stepped on that evil evil scale today, it said I gained 2 lbs.
So my question is how many calories should i be taking in a day?
It all depends on what your goals are, how much you weigh now, and your height. You may not be losing weight but you might be losing inches. If you go to this calculator http://walking.about.com/cs/calories/l/blcalcalc.htm You can plug in your information and it will tell you how many calories you burn naturally with out any extra effort a day. It is an approximation but very helpful. If you are taking in less calories than that, in theory you will lose weight. Also, make sure you are getting in enough water and not too much salt. I believe that 3500 calories is 1lb in weight gain/loss. The body will fight change and sometimes even when you are doing everything right you might gain but don't worry about it. Just keep doing your best and the weight will come off! Good luck!
