This has been helpful
I just wanted to post to say that this forum has been so helpful. I am 10 months post-op and stopped losing weight a few months ago. I started trying all kinds of way to lose more weight and reach my goal, but to no avail. Then I started getting hungry all the time and eating more and more. Then I found this forum and discovered that I wasn't using the pouch rules at all and that was why I was able to eat more and not lose weight. Now I have started the pouch rules and I am not hungry and losing again...my biggest problem was thinking I wasn't drinking enough fluids, so I was drinking before, during and after meals and basically rinsing out my pouch and then getting hungry right away. I hate being hungry; that is my biggest trigger for overeating because then I just overeat....so now I wait to drink fluids two hours after eating and then do the water loading.....it really works!
That's wonderful that your back on track
When I started throwing up my surgeon said that sometimes having a sip of water helps push the food down for some people. It does work for me at times. Explained to me that some foods are harder to get down then other. Dry foods.
I'm having a good day My husband is home and makes sure I EAT!!! What a wonderful husband I have
