I`m writing for my Hubby, he doesn`t use the computer. Here is the problem, he is just about 6 weeks post op. he has headaches just about all the time. He is having trouble getting any thing in. Just not hungry and hates all the different protein drinks. I keep telling him he isn`t getting enough water, protein and food in general to keep his body going. Any other ideas. Why he is suffering so much with headaches. I`m pretty sure it is a problem of dehydration but he is a hard sell. Sunnylea Thanks for any suggestions .

Lydia, Not getting enough water will definetly cause anyone headaches. Some people say that the flavored waters are easier to drink. If he feels full, then perhaps he could ice chips - - they go down slowly. Hope he is doing better now.

Hello, Tell your husband congratulations :) I had surgery in 12/2003 and suffered from occasional headaches/migraines. The day after my surgery I had a migraine & thought that it was from caffeine withdrawl (I drank 6-12 cans of Coke a day) but started to get migraines 1-2 times every week. I had to to a neurologist that told me that when you have surgery it makes your hormones go crazy and that is the reason why I developed them. Needless to say I had to begin taking seizure medicine to prevent the often migraines and then was changed to high blood pressure medicine. Tell your husband to keep a journal of how frequent his headaches are coming & rate the pain level, if they begin to occur to often don't worry just go see your doctor. I am now off of the preventative medicine & have maybe 1-3 migraines a month (I still think that is too often but it's better than 1-2 times a week. Good luck, Jesika
