Any Regrets ??????
No regrets here, but I'm only 7 weeks out and have had no problems.
I did a couple of years worth of research and felt prepared. That's important.
The first week or two after you are home are the hardest I think.
Even with all the planning and researching there were a couple of things that surprised me.
*Have a comfortable chair, like a lazy boy, because the bed at least for me was too uncomfortable. I didn't have a chair the first day I was home and really, really needed one. My dad brought over his.
*I never heard any one say this, but my stomach felt like it was 4x larger, just HUGE! From the swelling. Didn't hurt, but I wasn't prepared for that feeling
And what else... Umm...
*OH, There's no way to get all your fluid in when you first get home, I slept most of the first week, and sipped when I could, but I wasn't even worried about making my ounces. I did concentrate on the 2nd week, wanted to get on track, and felt better.
*The most important advice I could give anyone is to make sure you have a strong support. My husband, there's no way I would have or could have done this without him. That's so, so important, a parent, sibling spouse, friend...
Good luck to you
