Hey everyone: Just wanted to say how pleased I am with this surgery. Although there has been some things to get used to, overall and so far, it has not been even the slightest bit comparable to the feeling of being overweight and unable to move freely. I hear that Rose McNeill (my co-surgery partner) can even cross her legs without any trouble and guess what...so can I!!!! Truly tremendous!!!

Hey Linda glad everything is going well for you. I had my surgery on March 30, 2006, about 3 1/2 weeks ago. Oh gosh, I miss everything. The first craving I had was at my mom's house, less than a week out. She had just finished making some "frijoles de la olla", and everyone was eating them with quesadillas and mom's awesome homemade salsa....oh yeah and also, "cafe con canela".... I wanted to die, mom thought that I could eat the beans, I was tempted... Anyhow, I crave everything; pizza (wasn't crazy about it before), McDonald's (my weakness), KFC, Quiznos, ceviche and especially Mexican food (YUMMY)..Before my time, I made carne con nopales en chile...well I just had to sneak some nopales. I chewed them very well and all was fine... I haven't had to much trouble with anything except for fish... On a happy note, I'm glad to report that I have lost a total of 20lbs slowly progressing Warm regards, carolbear

Girl-l-l-, I am sooooo jealous and soooo happy for you and your friend. I would give anything to be able to cross my legs again!! Yeahhhhh I would. It's funny how little things like this can mean so much to us. Goes to prove, you just don't know 'til you've been there!! Keep it going !!!!

Nice to meet you Amy and Dawn, and I was about to say I haven't had my surgery yet but that's ok. I have been reading about wicca for several years but only knew a few others that was on the new earth festival circuit when I was there. I am out of touch and want to begin again but with some friends to help me along the way. when I first read about wicca I felt like I had finally found my way home and somewhere I got lost again. I never had anyone really that I could talk to with out feeling totally stupid and I really want that coming home feeling back and I know it was because I felt I belong to nature and her energies. does that sound totally like I've lost it? I hope not cause that how I truely feel and I hear enough of how crazy I am from other people when I speak of tarot, or ghost hunting, or past lives. I know I 've been here before!!! but I am glad to meet you both and I hope we can grow a big friendship from these first of many I hope letters. melinda

Hi Brenda, I know you said that you posted in all the boards. Did you mean these boards? I looked for your message from my month board and I never saw it. I posted in the month boards for a OH forum that is easier accessible and I have had about 200 responses now!! I tried writing email addresses down but, a lot are replies and when you send back to them from yahoo email it says do not respond is the email address. I had to go on each month board but, I can make you a list of all of their names and which month boards they are attached to. My injured hubby has come back stateside to California. I am doing so much right now with also trying to find a job for myself for next school year since my school let me go after the surgery. My friend Peggy and I are trying to arrange to go in October but, we need to find when her hubby and my hubby will be coming home to take on the kids!!! Hugs, Sandy
