Has anyone had the adjustable lap band? Also has there insurance paid for it? I am planning on getting it done in Greenville SC thats the closest clinic for me.

Hi Linda, I had tha lap band done 3 weeks ago in Monterrey Mexico. I went there because it was cheaper (10,190-I was self-pay) and because my carrier would not cover the lap-band, only the RNY,(which was not a option for me). I have lost 24 pounds and I feel great. If you are thinking about Dr. Bour in Greenville, I have heard great things about him. He has a message board on yahoo groups-BourBandsters and there is a NC Bandsters group also.
