How are people that are over a year out dealing with the emotional aspects of eating? Are the old ways creeping back in? Do you think that there was enough mental and/or physicological counseling to go along with your surgery (either before or after)? Do you think there needs to be more intensive treatment to see what caused us to become so obesse in the first place? Sally

This has been a hard one for me too. I don't think there's anything wrong with enjoying your food and in fact having a treat. I make it a healthy treat though. I focus on what the food has for me in the way of protein and nutrition. There's such a small amount of food I can eat now, so I try to remember to make each bite count and still enjoy it. Besides, wearing the size 10 clothes I'm in now feels better than chocolate cake will ever taste again.

I got a great recipe out of the "Before and After" book for Fritatta. I take that a lot and people seem to really like it.

A lot of people have asked me how I will make sure I don't "lose too much". Now that I'm pretty close to goal, I'm wondering that myself. How do the people who have reached their goal handle adding calories to make sure they maintain and don't lose too much?

Being "underweight" I have had to look at food as medicine and like any bad tasting medicine force myself to eat. It's very hard. I'd love some ideas too.

I bring a brocolli cole slaw recipe that is a slightly altered version of Eggface's turkey slaw recipe. It's a HUGE hit and most people have no idea it's WLS friendly. Or, I bring lots of cheeses with fruit.
