Post op finger nail growth

I am 2 years post op. Since the surgery I have not been able to grow my nails. They are weak and split. I have tried nail applications such as Nailtiques and Miracle Nail with no success. There must be something that I am missing nutritionally. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Are you taking your calcium?

It is definetly a deficiency. Most likely protein or B12. I had my surgery 7 months ago, and I had a ridge develope on my nails early on. It has grown out now and appeared to coincide with my hair loss (which has also subsided). You might want to have your doctor run some blood test to make sure you are getting all of the nutrients you need.
