Today's my nine month surgiversary, so....
When you hit a surgiversary, what do you do? Do you treat yourself to something? Do you not acknowledge it at all?
For my one year, I am getting glamour shots taken, or something along those lines. It's time for new photos to put up!
Today, I'm celebrating with a stomach bug.
Oh well. Maybe it'll take care of the water weight I gained from Auntie Flo. Heh.

Wow - I thought hard about this one, trying to remember what I'd done for myself for either of my surgiversaries, and it occurred to me that I "celebrate" them almost as one does the anniversary of a death... as the date gets closer, and for days afterward, I think about it, but reflect on it within myself. I wonder if, deep inside, I'm mourning the loss of the "old Jean", however happy I am to be the "new Jean". Weird....

My surgiversary is next month. I don't know what I want to do for it, I know I want to celebrate somehow, someway. I am seeing my surgeon on my actual 1 year surgiversary, but that's not really celebrating, especially when they take 10-12 vials of blood! LOL... I'll have to think about this... maybe I can set up some quality time with my "friend" Gary, who knows, maybe by then we'll be officially dating?! That would be a great way to celebrate!
