Who has been the most supportive during you "journey"?

Mine has been a fellow WLS patient that was a co-worker.  She's 6 years out and maintaining.  An inspiration and a wealth of knowledge.

I would like to say my hubby has....but he seems to be enjoying the results more then helping me on my journey. I would have to say all my OH buddies, I have family and friends that fill me up with confidence telling me how great I look, but its not easy trying to explain my new lifestyle habits witht them! Well lets just say its easy for me to explain it...its hard for them to get it! SO I would have to say my OH buddies and MYSELF! I am extremely proud of myself and I think that is the most important thing, if you support yourself and not let yourself get down you can do anything.

Everyone I know has been very supportive of me in their own way.  I have a couple of friends who have given me a lot of clothes.  I get compliments from everyone I see.  But my DH has to take first prize in that department.  He does most of the cooking, and always tries to accommodate my needs first.  Along the way, he's also lost 21 pounds.  He said he didn't know how he lost it, and I reminded him of the way we're both eating now.

My daughter has been my closest supporter - and while helping me, lost 60 pounds of her own!  But my Mom has been a big help, being a WLS person too, and my cousin, who directed me to OH, and all of my co-workers who offer compliments and support...   lots of people have been supportive, but I'd have to say Chrysti, my daughter...

I have to say that my husband has been pretty great throughout this.  Even with the constant need to buy new clothes as things get too big, he hasn't complained (much) about my shopping.  He's even been saving money for my plastics which are inevitable,

My two best friends who also had the surgery are awesome support too.  We did this together as a team to be there for each other, and I wouldn't change a thing.

Highest: 315 ~ Surgery: 296 ~ Current: 177.8 ~ Goal: 165

My husband - He doesn't coment on what I eat or my mis-steps. He is very accepting. Although sometimes I wish he was more coach like and push me to be the best me I can be.

Mine has been my daughter who also had the surgery and all of my family.  They are all true believers in WLS.  I am so very blessed!!!
